Background
Born and raised in the Illinois Heartland, I stayed Midwest for undergrad, majoring in Religious Studies and Spanish (semester in Santiago, Chile) at Washington University in St. Louis. Spent a year in Chicago as an AmeriCorps VISTA at a legal aid organization and then headed off to New York and São Paulo for a dual master's in International Affairs and Public Policy from Columbia | SIPA and FGV EAESP, respectively. Been in NYC ever since.
